Tessica was an elementary teacher for 14 years. She first taught in Pepin, Wisconsin for 3 years, then continued at Bluffview Elementary in Lake City after marrying Mitch Peters in 2008. She loved working with the kids at school and home and earned her master's degree in early child development.
Sawyer spent much of his short 3 years at the Mayo Clinic in the PICU. He met many families, nurses, doctors and made new friends. His favorite book is Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site.
Sawyer spent much of his short 3 year of live in the Newborn and Pediatric Intensive Care Units.
So every year on Sawyer's birthday we deliver his favorite book and comforting items to families.
